Dr. Jesus Lamas

About Dr. Jesus Lamas, DVM

Dr. Jesus Lamas is a dedicated veterinarian whose passion for animal care began at an early age. Born in Venezuela, he decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine at just four years old. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2002 from the Universidad Centro Occidental Lisandro Alvarado.

Following graduation, Dr. Lamas practiced as a mixed-animal veterinarian in Venezuela, providing care for both small animals and large animals, while also owning and managing his own cattle ranch. This hands-on experience gave him a strong foundation in comprehensive veterinary care and animal management.

In 2008, Dr. Lamas moved to the United States, where he continued his veterinary journey by working as a veterinary technician in multiple specialty and emergency hospitals throughout South Florida. His commitment to learning and excellence allowed him to gain extensive experience in emergency and critical care medicine.

In 2012, Dr. Lamas relocated to Tallahassee, Florida, where he began working as a veterinarian in the local emergency setting. His dedication to high-quality patient care and teamwork led to his becoming a partner at NorthEast Animal Hospital (NEAH) in 2024. Dr. Lamas is deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve and support the Tallahassee community and takes great pride in helping both pets and their families.
